This is Cool: The Facebook for Small Business

If you have or are Starting a Business, there’s a new social network, Sta.rtUp.biz, that recently launched. Rather than trying to promote your business on a social network geared towards teens and celebrities, small businesses can have a page and network with other like-minded small businesses.
Not only can you network with other small business owners, the site is jam packed with resources for the small business owner, such as Motivational Video Clips and Free Search Engine Optimization. The forum also has three experts to provide you with assistance in each major area of small business. A corporate lawyer will answer your legal questions, the “Search Guru” helps you with Google rankings and provides Free Search Engine Optimization, and there’s a veteran serial entrepreneur to mentor you on business management and strategy. Check out the page I just started … mind you, I just started it, so it’s not very active yet.

In addition to the resources above, Sta.rtUp.biz provides daily articles from the most popular business magazines, including Inc, BusinessWeek, FSB, Entrepreneur, Fast Company, Forbes, and Fortune. There’s also the the “Video Hall of Fame”, a comprehensive video library, with videos from Zig Ziglar to Tony Robbins.

You know, I really am not liking this new trend in domain names. What’s supposed to be clever just turns into a brain twister to remeber. Where does the dot go again? After the sta, or the st, or, or…
Nevertheless it does sound like a cool concept.

I agree with Jonathon, the domain name is terrible. Good idea though.

Could this site compete with the recently launched Visa Business Network from Visa and Facebook, at first glance, it definitely looks like it has some potential.
I too agree with the domain. I think they will have more success if they get startup.biz. Even del.icio.us has delicous.com.
