You probably know that I am testing out the benefits of Entrecard. I was at the Campaign screen a couple of nights ago and all of a sudden, on the right hand side, I noticed these blog ads being displayed. I wondered … now how do you get so lucky as to get a spot there? Underneath the ads is a little bidding link. I clicked it and it took me to Project Wonderful. It’s a great new service where you can not only place bids on ad spots, but you can also list your own ad spots to be bid on. I immediately bid on a spot for Entrecard. My next step is going to be to check out placing one of my own ad spots there to bid on. Highest bidder’s gets their ad displayed … simple as that. The bids you place are based on CPD (cost per day) rather than a PPC (pay per click) model. You can bid for as little as one day or as much as a year.
When you place an ad of your own for others to bid on, there are numerous ad sizes and you can set the minimum price that can be bid. If you have a good spot that advertisers want, the bidders will bid and your ad price will increase as the bidding heats up.
Project Wonderful charges 25% commission for ads that you sell, which is probably worth the price if you get a good bidding war going and your ad space value increases. You can both fund Project Wonderful ads that you bid on and withdraw using Paypal.
It’s great to see cheaper advertising alternatives coming onto the blogging scene. That’s one of the features of Entrecard that I love. While it is a time-sucking endeavor getting Entrecard points, you have the opportunity to place an ad on some A-list blogs. I just saved up all my points and purchased an ad on one of my favorite blogs, ProBlogger. He hasn’t approved it yet, but I’m hoping he does. Add Project Wonderful to the mix now and you can not only place a cheap ad on Entrecard and other spots, but maybe make some money selling your own ad. ![]()

I just checked them out also. There is a lot of low cost advertising to be had and with bidding involved, it seems to be a good choice on the publisher side also. And they take a small cut. I currently have Scratchback running and am investigating TNX. Just so many choices.

I currently am testing Project Wonderful and have quite a few ads running. It seems like a great ad network with lots of options. Scratchback created too many problems for me as my Wordpress theme didn’t like it. If all goes well, I will probably put some ads on my site from Project Wonderful.

I use Project Wonderful ads on my personal blog and did on an older, now defunct blog, and have always had great profits from them. I also use them to advertise a few sites I run and get very good click throughs from my ads. PW definitely has me vote!

Suzanne, nice blog! And thanks for bidding for an ad spot on my blog. One question though, where’s your Project Wonderful ad spot????
As you know I’m a big fan already of Project Wonderful and if they ever used an affiliate program to spread their name, they’d blow up. But i’m impressed how much attention they get without one.
Once again, nice blog!

Wow, for the longest time I had no idea what all the EntreCard people were talking about when they said Project Wonderful. Based on the site it seems they are pretty new as well? Any idea if the owners are the same as the EntreCard ones?

I started using this too. Waiting for my approval and also placed ads on another site. I’m looking for more!
