Squidoo has added another new service to its growing list of co-branded services. Create your own TV channel on topics that interest you with SquidVids using YouTube videos. It’s very simple to create your SquidVids Channel. If you don’t already have a Squidoo account, you will need one. Then choose a topic for your SquidVids, and select the most appropriate category. Squidoo will automatically choose 10 YouTube videos that best fit the category and topic. All of this can be modified by you. Google Launches Video Adsense

If you want to use the traditional style Adsense on your blogs, and have more power over ad format, there is an Adsense-Deluxe Wordpress Plugin (updated for Wordpress 2) for use with Adsense or Yahoo ads. It really simplifies adding Adsense to your blog and gives you control over where it’s placed and the size of the ad.Features:

  • Use simple HTML comments for embedding AdSense or Yahoo! Publisher Network ads in a WordPress post
  • Choose from any number of ad styles and format on a post-by-post basis
  • Globally change ad styles
  • Selectively disable display of individual ad styles or all ads
  • Integrated AdSense Preview tool (a sandbox) for seeing what ads will appear on a given page. (Stand-alone AdSense SandBox Tool also available)

If you haven’t heard of blurb.com, you should check it out. It’s a website where you can self-publish your own book, whether it’s a wedding album, a baby book, a family photo album, or an informational book on topics that you are passionate or knowledgeable in. You could also publish a portfolio that showcases your own business.

The process is fairly simple. They offer free software for creating your book. Download the software and select the type of book you’d like to make. Add photos, text, stories … whatever you want and your book is done. You can have it printed in a variety of sizes and with soft cover or hardcover. There are many different categories to choose from. Some of the more popular ones are Arts & Photography, Travel, Wedding, Children, Biographies & Memoirs, Sports & Adventure, Poetry, Fine Art Photography, Parenting & Families, and Cooking. Got a hobby you’d like to write about or some secret family recipes to share … gardening tips, do-it-yourself tips. Write a book about it.

Once your book is done, you can then offer it for sale in the blurb.com bookstore. Check out some of their bestsellers here. Great service, reasonable pricing for self-publishing your own books.

University of California Berkeley Offers Search Engine Courses on YouTube

If you’re bored and easily amused, check out this site and “blabberize” your own photo or your pet’s photo or any photo for that matter. Example below of my favorite blabber that I ran across… but seriously … do you see the marketing potential for this? ;)
